DUTIES: Provide proactive recommendations to the customer for improving their use of EMC storage solutions to help maximize satisfaction. Contribute to design, configuration, administration and performance tuning of EMC products. Participate in design and operational execution of the customer's disaster recovery process. Perform infrastructure maintenance and necessary data migration. Provide assistance to EMC technical teams in development of custom solutions and implementation preparation. Perform necessary infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and customer's change management policies. Work with EMC colleagues to ensure resolution of technical issues encountered during implementations. Participate in continual review and improvement of existing operational policies and procedures in compliance with EMC's best practices. Provide support and instruction to customers and less experienced co-workers. Act as a mentor and assist or present training development environments to peers, customers and other organizations. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Comp. Sci., Engin.(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field plus 24 months experience in job offered or computer related occupation. Employer will accept one year in the job offered or computer related occupation to substitute for one year of education toward a bachelors degree.
Experience must include: 1) Symmetrix VMAX, VNX,VPLEX and Clariion, 2) Cisco and Brocade Fabric switches, 3) Data Replication products RecoverPoint, SRDF, and TimeFinder, 4) Storage migrations tools Open Replicator and PPME, 5) Management tools Cisco Fabric Manager, Unisphere, Navisphere, VPLEX cli, navicli and symcli, 6) UNIX operating systems HP-UX, AIX and Solaris, 7) VMWare ESXi deployments, VDI, Storage vMotions, Virtualization P2V, and 8) Perl and Shell scripting for automation. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable
