Job Duties: Design and develop software solutions for new products, improve existing software products, and ensure consistency within and across products. Develop new software engineering methods or processes, re-evaluate existing processes. Deliver high-quality software subsystems through enterprise code standards and code reviews independently and in collaboration with other engineers and other engineering groups. Communicate with internal and external customers to provide technical support on developed software products. Lead and mentor junior engineers in software development projects and company goals and objectives. Develop and execute implementation according to project plans and priorities. Ensure adherence to development best practices and standards of application developers within their immediate group.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or (foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science or other relevant discipline such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems. In addition to degree, position requires six years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in information technology which must have included: designing and developing software with Java, debugging, performance tuning, and unit testing; developing applications with core Java, Multithreading, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, RMI, XML, XSD, TestNG, JBoss, Tomcat and J2EE; developing Relational Database Designs (RDBMS) and SQL queries; using version control systems SVN and Clear Case; developing applications with IDE tools Eclipse and IntelliJ; using continuous build integration tools Hudson and Jenkins. Included in the six years of post-baccalaureate experience in information technology must be at least one year of experience involving: private cloud implementation using vCAC (vCloud Automation Center) including vCAC customizations using vCO (vCloud Orchestrator), Windows Workflow Foundation, vSphereAPI and C#; application provisioning using Puppet, PuppetDSL, PuppetDB, Hiera, and Puppet Dashboard; bare metal physical provisioning automation using Razor framework; and scripting experience in PowerShell and JavaScript.
