Energy Efficiency Rater
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform on-site inspections for new residential construction projects, including insulation inspections, duct leakage testing, and blower door testing.
Extract building details from blueprints and Sketch-UP Models to calculate heat loads and identify opportunities for efficiency upgrades on residential buildings.
Track and organize projects via digital, cloud-based systems.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills.
Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Building Science or equivalent experience in residential construction.
Advanced computer skills in regards to spreadsheets, database management, and overall digital proficiency.
Ability to become HERS certified. http:

Self-motivated and organized to work in both the field and from your own home based office, interested in Building Science and energy efficiency.
Salary, benefits, and training provided for qualified individuals.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
