Duties:
Provide technical expertise by independently determining and developing solutions for a moderate range of complex software engineering problems. Use judgment, creativity, and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions. Understand and adhere to cost/delivery/quality targets established during the program design phase. Represent the organization on project teams and may perform technical project leadership roles. Contribute to the development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives. Work on the overall design and development of new ideas and products, and develops project plans. Apply software engineering methods or processes and re-evaluate existing processes. Design simulation and test criteria. Verify functionality and performance. Responsible for developing and executing project plans. Provide documentation of work and results. Review projects against goals and provide status reports. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Requirements:
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field and 1 year of work experience in job offered or 1 year of work experience in a computer-related occupation.
Experience must include: 1) z/os Assembler/ System Programming; 2) Rexx; 3) Hardware, software, and mainframe operating systems environments; 4) Mainframe-z/OS; 5) TSO, ISPF, JCL; 6) Symmetrix Utilities, SymMRemote, MiX, OPT; 7) MS Project; 8) C/C++; 9) Project Management; 10) Database technologies; 11) Linux Clay, STCMON 12) Network Administration; 13) Unit ,Integration , Blackbox, Beta testing 14) Technical Specification, Test Plans and Test Case creation; 15) Network administration skills; 16) Symmetrix V1,V2,V3 Mock tests, replacements, NDU, Environment tests, configuration and building personalities, storage allocation, sanity tests, fault injection. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
