Duties:
Provide technical expertise and solutions to complex software engineering problems. Interface with senior management to deliver information and to build consensus regarding project direction. Offer proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and products. Exert significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment. May be held accountable for overall product and/or serve as a customer advocate. Represent organization as principal customer contact. Interact on matters that require coordination across functional/organizational lines. Significant contributor to organizational goals and objectives. Write functional detailed design specs as well as respond to required documents and system level test plans. Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction. Understand and adhere to cost/delivery/quality targets established during the program design phase. Work effectively with cross-functional and/or global teams, readily share information with others. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Requirements:
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field, followed by seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a computer-related occupation.
Experience must include:
1) C and C++
2) Development on enterprise level storage products and knowledge of storage interfaces
3) Multi-threading, RTOS, and/or Kernel development
4) Performance analysis and tuning of enterprise storage products
5) Data Deduplication technologies
6) Data Compression technologies
7) Enterprise Storage Protection technologies
Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
