Job Description: Advise senior executives on solving the companys most pressing strategic issues. The team is primarily comprised of alumni from top management consulting firms with a passion for information technology. Will be engaged in all major transformation programs and strategic initiatives across EMC, such as defining the next generation cloud services, developing future business models, identifying strategic acquisitions and transforming organizations globally. Formulate recommendations and articulate implementation plans. Support business units on the formulation and execution of their strategic initiatives. Provide critical project team leadership. The impact of the initiatives range from strategic mergers and acquisitions, revenue growth to cost optimization. Requires understanding of EMCs market, competitors, product lines, and internal operations. May be assigned to projects that require proven experience in enterprise data storage industry, distributed storage industry, and strong analytical skills to develop insights into complex business issues.
Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in Comp. Sci., Engin(any), Business or related technical field. 24 months experience in job offered, or strategy / management consulting. Experience must include: 1) management consulting using hypotheses-driven approaches and advanced analytics, 2) leading multi-disciplinary project teams and structuring analyses, 3) Total cost of ownership sizing for enterprise data storage, 4) modeling economics of public cloud data storage IT infrastructure, 5) technical research and characterization of enterprise storage workloads, 6) identifying efficiency opportunities in IT hardware product lifecycle management, and 7) analysis of data storage industry structure. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
