Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation and analysis of modules or features of new or upgraded software systems and products. Optimize performance, reliability of the embedded NAS storage product. Work on next gen software storage solutions, work very closely with open source community, Linux software RAID and hardware RAID. Represents the organization on project teams and may perform technical project leadership roles. May develop a range of products including device drivers, patches, operating system modifications, file systems, etc. BS degree required
5-7 years experience
Software Programming in C and C+
for embedded Linux systems
Work with GNU tool chain for software development
Working on Filesystems like XFS, EXT 3/4.
Working on Linux kernel, device drivers, and Linux porting activity
Working with Intel and ARM systems requiring indept knowledge about their architectures
Getting involved in open source linux software RAID and also working on hardware RAID.
Expert knowledge of Linux system environment (GNU toolchain, GCC, GDB) and architecture (Virtual memory, TCP/IP network, block I/O layer)
Test and optimize product data I/O performance
Working with open source software and submitting patches to the open source
